Vein or lump graphite is considered as best form of graphite. It is well known for its extremely high grade with over 99% of carbon. The crystalline nature of vein graphite gives it a set of unique properties including easy exfoliation of its layers for the production of Graphene. Vein graphite occurs in fissure veins or fractures in metamorphic rock. It appears as platy intergrowths of fibrous or acicular crystalline aggregates. It is widely believed that vein graphite probably have a hydrothermal origin.
